All the ingredients are in place to make this inaugural edition a major event: a challenging route designed to attract the best cyclists, extensive media coverage with live broadcasts on La Cha\u00eene L\u2019\u00c9quipe and Eurosport, and organisation of the highest standard.\u00a0The event was presented on 17 June at Faun, in the presence of Michel Callot, President of the French Cycling Federation; Etienne Blaise, President of Faun; Tiphaine Bourgninaud, Head of Sports Partnerships at CIC; Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Sauzet, Director of the CIC branch in Valence Victor-Hugo; Guillaume Bonnafond, Head of NewGen at Decathlon \u2013 CMA CGM, and Guillaume Delpech,\u00a0President of BDAO, who said: \u201cThe Ard\u00e8che International Women\u2019s Cycling Tour has built something solid over more than twenty years: a history, a reputation and deep roots in this region. We are the heirs to this legacy and we are proud of it. Our ambition now is to take it further.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

And Etienne Blaise, President of FAUN Environnement, said: \u201cIt is about building a major women\u2019s race. Women\u2019s cycling is experiencing exceptional growth. Champions are attracting an ever-wider audience, viewership <\/span>is growing and performance levels are constantly rising. This momentum deserves events that live up to it. That is why we wanted to get involved right from the start of this project and lend it our name.\u201d<\/p>\n
