“The conditions were very challenging, with very heavy swells that caused a lot of damage to the boat: the spinnaker and mainsail were torn…
But I could still see the leaders, so there were opportunities to catch up. That really made me want to fight, and I drew on all my resources, even though I was no longer on equal footing.
I’m very disappointed, but there are still two legs to go and it’s important to start again well rested.
In the meantime, it’s time to repair the boat and the sails so that we can start the next leg in the best possible conditions.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
